Cotton Gaining at Midday

The new week of cotton trading has midday prices 26 to 95 points higher. New crop futures are 0.7 to 0.74% higher so far. The dollar is weaker.

USDA’s weekly Cotton Market Review noted 9,132 bales were sold at spot for an average price of 78.25 c/lb. The Cotlook A index was 92.25 cents/lb for 4/16 after another 75 point increase. USDA’s AWP for cotton is 68.16 cents/lb through Thursday.

May 21 Cotton  is at 84.06, up 35 points,

Jul 21 Cotton  is at 85.55, up 52 points,

Dec 21 Cotton  is at 83.18, up 65 points
