Cotton Prices Mixed Mostly Higher

The midday board shows Wednesday cotton is trading firm in both directions. Prices are within 12 points of UNCH so far. Yesterday at the close, front month cotton futures pushed to prices not seen since August of 2018. The dollar index is continuing higher so far. The Cotlook A index was steady at 93.80 cents on Feb 16. The week’s new AWP for cotton is 70.32 cents/lb, through Thursday.

Mar 21 Cotton is at 88.01, down 11 points,
May 21 Cotton is at 89.67, up 7 points
Jul 21 Cotton is at 90.44, up 12 points
Dec 21 Cotton is at 84.87, up 6 points
