Cotton Firm at Midday

After multiple triple digit daily moves, Friday trading has the board 1 to 6 points higher ahead of the three day weekend. New crop futures are 7 points lower so far. The dollar tried to rally earlier, but is down 0.01% on the Bloomberg Index and a few ticks on the DX futures. USDA’s Daily Spot Quotations reported just 667 bales sold on Feb 11. The Cotlook A index fell back 195 points on Feb 11 to 91.25 cents/lb. The week’s new AWP for cotton is 70.32 cents/lb, up by 3.94 cents on the week.

Mar 21 Cotton is at 86.42, up 1 points,
May 21 Cotton is at 87.91, up 4 points
Jul 21 Cotton is at 88.72, up 6 points
Dec 21 Cotton is at 83.71, down 7 points
